About the wine
Château Pedesclaux is one of the oldest wineries in France. It was founded in 1810 by the Pedesclaux family. It then went through a turbulent history with changing owners until it was taken over by Jacky Lorenzetti in 2009. With an unparalleled quality campaign, the Frenchman brought the winery back to the top. The house's grand vin, the “Château Pédesclaux”, is now an inimitable red wine that impresses with its intensity and complexity. 2018 will be delivered with an excellent drinking maturity and from 6 bottles in the original wooden box.

Tasting note
Rich ruby red. A dense aroma on the nose. Warm spices, ripe plums and cassis, delicate mocha bouquet, discreet roasted aromas and some vanilla. Repeating aromas on the palate. Lots of ripe fruit, a wonderfully balanced body, sturdy tannins, long finish with long aromatic persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roast or game dishes, wild fowl, roast beef, racy cheese.
Vinification
The grapes, harvested by hand, are fermented after pressing in steel tanks at controlled temperature. The young wine is then aged for 16 to 18 months in 60% new oak barriques.
