Tasting note
A bewitchingly complex bouquet with notes of cassis, liquorice, prunes, figs, mocha and cedar. Silky tannins give the wine an immense density and elegance. An extraordinary experience of richness of taste with incredible length.
Vinification
Around half of production is expanded in new barrels, 10 to 15% in second-filled barrels and, since 2012, 30 to 40% in Dolia (concrete amphorae). This new way of aging wines reflects the determination to produce wines that are free from any artificiality. The aim is to reveal the essence of wine and not its nature. Depending on the type of wine, the aging period in barrels varies between 16 and 18 months.
