About the wine
Volpaia is a small Tuscan village that is completely dedicated to viticulture. Pressing is now carried out in the medieval fortress, bottles are stored in the vaults of the churches and there is a tank of organic wine in the cellar in almost every house.
Bio
Tasting note
A ruby red wine with hints of garnet, balanced, light and fruity, soft, harmonious and well-structured. Dried fruit, currant and cherry are just as much a part of the bouquet as are anise and other spicy notes as well as beautiful roasted aromas of cocoa and toast bread. The palate is fresh and shows beautiful earthy attributes in addition to the fruit, spice and roasted aromas.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pasta with meat, beef with dark sauces, grilled or fried and veal with dark sauces.
