About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Capannelle conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. The snappy Sangiovese 2012 — Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Sangiovese with lamb or pasta.
Tasting note
Ruby red. While the bouquet combines dry fruits and flowers, the taste of this Chianti impresses with its sophisticated woody notes. Pleasant, medium-length finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with cheese, beef and stews.
Vinification
Traditional mash fermentation for three weeks. Malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 20 months in French and Slavonian oak barrels. This is followed by twelve months in steel tanks and six months in the bottle.
