About the wine
The 6 hectares of vines of the beautiful Clos Beauregard winery are partly located in the lower area of Château Beauregard, to which it belonged until 1930. The vineyards are exclusively planted with Merlot vines. They grow on sandy and clayey soil with individual veins of “iron slag”. The tillering density is 6666 vines per hectare. The work on the vines is carried out with the meticulousness and precision required for the greatest wines. All plots are defoliated on the rising sun side so that the grapes can fully develop and benefit from the sun. The berries are picked by hand at optimal ripeness. Clos Beauregard is one of the wineries advised by the famous oenologist Michel Rolland. This provides the winery with its sound know-how regarding the conditions of the terroir
