Strong ruby red - on the nose and palate, this pure Mencía has an extremely fruity and floral character, complemented by cool minerality and subtle spice. Notes of violets and other flowers accompany the fresh fruit aromas of red berries and ripe plums. The elevated position of the vineyards in the already cool “Valtuille” zone promotes a wine with fresh, clear primary fruit and an unusually lively acidity for this variety, which, however, suits the wine extremely well. The term “Coios” means “hill” and is a reference to the hilly area in which the grapes for this great wine grow.
