About the wine
It couldn't be more unusual — it couldn't be more ingenious. Philippe Guigal, a highly talented oenologist, runs the winery founded by his grandfather Etienne in 1946 in the Côtes du Rhône. Everything is exceptional here: the location on the steep slopes with their carved terraces and the barren soils through which the vines get their water down to a depth of 15 meters. The Guigal always get the most out of the grape and terroir, which is reflected in the quality in small quantities. The wine is aged in barriques from our own coopery. They set top prices for these wines: single-vineyard wines such as La Mouline and La Turque are sold for up to 700 francs. Guigal is the winery with the most wines awarded 100 points by Robert Parker.
