About the wine
Wine passion in the fourth generation. The story of Cascina Chicco began in the 1950s with Ernesto Facceno. He bought the first vineyard and planted it with Nebbiolo and Barbera. Back then farmers and caterers, today grandchildren dedicate themselves exclusively to viticulture. Cascina Chicco with its impressive vaulted cellars is located in the heart of the Roero area. The winery has 35 hectares of vineyards and each grape variety has its perfect location: Arneis in Canale, Barbera in Castellinaldo, Nebbiolo in Vezza and Castagnito.

Tasting note
Light straw yellow with greenish reflections. Fine perlage with a freshly scented bouquet of white bread bark and yeast. Dry and persistent on the palate with a fresh taste.
Culinary recommendation
White and red meats, cheeses.
Vinification
The first fermentation takes place in steel tanks, where the young wine then rests for up to eight months. After bottling, bottle fermentation and maturation on the fine yeast takes at least 30 months.
