Tasting note
Intense purple. On the nose, notes of ripe cherries and spices such as cinnamon, cardamon and pepper. Very lively on the palate, full-bodied and velvety tannins. Long, elegant finish. A perfect example of Argentina's main Malbec grape variety.
Culinary recommendation
It goes wonderfully with grilled pork spare ribs or empanadas filled with spicy meat.
Vinification
Continuous innovation and a focus on its own tradition made Rutini one of the most successful Argentinean wine producers of all time. The wines are made in top locations in the Mendoza wine-growing region. According to Decanter, Rutini winemaker Mariano di Paola is one of the 30 best in the world.
