About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it will be this distinctive red wine 2018 — Diesel Pinotage. Enchanting and sunny landscapes of the coastal region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Beyerskloof conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this pinotage with pasta bolognese or salami.

Tasting note
The Diesel Pinotage flows into the glass with a dark and shimmering burgundy red. A wonderful interplay of spice, floral notes and fruits spreads out on the palate. Diesel Pinotage is characterized by the balance of the soft and almost silky entry, which, however, allows the power of the tannins. It also impresses with its great depth.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: Long shelf life (at least 9 years). Flaschenpost team recommends this Diesel Pinotage to accompany salami, strong cheese platters and pasta Bolognese.
Vinification
The wine matures in French wooden barrels, 75% of which is first and 25% second use. Once again, only 20 barrels with the best qualities were selected.
