Tasting note
Dark red, almost black robe with purple reflections. Beautiful aromas of black cherry, raspberry and currant interwoven with notes of anise, black chocolate and coffee beans. Concentrated wine, lush, with the rich elegant structure that the ageing in oak barriques has given it. Full-bodied body and charming mocha aromas in the unspeakably long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with duck breast, grilled lobster, braised roast beef, racks of lamb, marinated game with sauce and soft cheese.
Vinification
Director's Cut relies on appellation-specific sourcing, careful selection of fruits and numerous blending tests to capture the different nuances of Sonoma's microclimate.
