About the wine
The Nero di Troia (or Uva di Troia) is an autochthonous red wine variety in southern Italy. Historically, it is claimed that the Greeks brought this grape variety from Troia, which seems perfectly plausible from the distance to Puglia.
Tasting note
Brilliant opaque crimson color. A beguiling bouquet with aromas of dark fruits, liquorice and a little spice flatters the nose. The wine is very warm in tone with a fleshy, strong body. The ripe, dark fruit notes are also evident on the palate. The tannins are soft and round, with a medium length. A great wine!
Vinification
After a mash fermentation of approx. 20 days, the young wine is aged in steel tanks.
