About the wine
Luigi Einaudi was an economist, university teacher, journalist and democrat, as well as the second president of the “Repubblica Italiana”. He is the founder of the traditional Poderi Luigi Einaudi winery in Dogliani in Piedmont. After his death in 1961, the estate was somewhat neglected, but in the 80s his granddaughter Paola Einaudi took over the management and brought it back to its former glory. Today, her son, Matteo Sardagna Einaudi, continues the story and has turned it into one of the most prominent wineries in Piedmont, with the credo “eleganza e territorialità”, which is reflected in his wines.

Tasting note
Dense purple. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits with a fine spicy note. Surprisingly velvety on the palate for Dolcetto with juicy fruit, subtle acidity and soft tannin structure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with various pasta dishes, vegetable casseroles, white meat starters, grilled fish and medium-aged cheese.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation at 28° Celsius in steel tanks and cement tanks. Expansion also partly in steel tanks and partly in cement tanks and in bottles. It goes on sale in early summer after harvesting.
