About the wine
This historic cuvée, which has been produced since the 17th century, is a blend of the various terroirs, from safres to rounded pebbles. Safres floors give it finesse and elegance, while Rounded Pebbles floors give it strength and structure. It is a blend of 3 major grape varieties: Grenache noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre, but also of all 13 grape varieties approved by AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape in smaller proportions.

Tasting note
In the nose garrigue bouquet, cistus flowers, black currant buds; Fresh and balanced on the palate, with aromas of cocoa and cherry, with a long aftertaste of licorice.
Culinary recommendation
In its youth, this vintage is perfect for a 12-hour oven-baked lamb shoulder, roast dove with porcini mushrooms and, from the age of five, stew, “stave Provençale”, game and many types of cheese.
