Tasting note
The Eins Zwei Zero Rosé from the Leitz winery is a non-alcoholic variant of the Eins Zwei Dry Rosé. The series of One Two Dry wines was even awarded the “If Communication Design Award” in 2019. As the demand for non-alcoholic variants of wines is increasing more and more, the Leitz family from Rüdesheim has developed a non-alcoholic alternative to fruity summer wine and thus hits the point of time. The Eins Zwei Zero Rosé is in no way inferior to an alcoholic rosé, except that it can be enjoyed with a clear conscience. The Leitz family uses the most modern variant, vacuum production, to produce the alcohol-free rosé. This is very popular because the wine does not have to be heated so much and the aromas can therefore be retained, but the alcohol of the wine evaporates at 29 degrees. This makes it possible to produce a wine that contains 0.0% alcohol, but at the same time has diverse and intense aromas. The Eins Zwei Zero is made from Merlot, Portugieser and Pinot Noir grape varieties. Thanks to its harmonious fruitiness, the Eins Zwei Zero Rose is the perfect summer wine. On the nose, a strong rhubarb note develops at the beginning, followed by fine rose hip and raspberry notes. Not only can the pink wine rival a real rosé on the outside, it also shows off the taste on the whole level. The palate is soft and fruity, rounded off by a slight acidity. The Eins Zwei Zero goes perfectly with fresh summer salads and pasta with poultry. It should be served slightly chilled at around 10° Celsius.
Vinification
Gently dealcoholized using the latest cellar technology. In the vacuum evaporator, the wine is heated to a maximum of 27°C, which causes the alcohol it contains to evaporate. Due to the low boiling temperature of alcohol in a vacuum, the important taste remains.
