About the wine

The winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas y Viñedos Artadi has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and fertile landscape of the Upper Ebro. We have a special Tempranillo from 2015 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Tempranillo can be served very well with polenta or pizza.

Tasting note
The 3.64 hectare single vineyard El Carretil in the medieval town of Laguardia, which is located in the Basque Country and belongs to the province of Alava in the Rioja area, is the basis for this great wine made from Tempranillo vines, some of which are over 90 years old. The nose is dominated by intense notes of red berry fruits, a hint of liquorice and delicate nuances of barrique aging. On the palate, it delivers what the nose promises; it has energy, juiciness and volume, but is not heavy and brings a nice freshness. The barren clay soils with a high proportion of limestone give El Carretil a mineral aroma and its fine and well-integrated tannins round off this majestic wine. Has great aging potential!!
