About the wine

Tasting note
A mosaic of unique and wonderful Oxymora, a play of contrasts: one appreciates the rustic elegance, the restrained determination, the philosophy of his winemaking - the attempt to let tradition live on through innovation and to rewrite a history of Valtellina, also marked by effort and poverty. The generous alcohol content, the fruit concentration and the striking tannins form a complex character that unfolds coherently and harmoniously at the same time: a wine full of power and charisma with an intense aroma structure of spices and fruits.

Red meat, dishes with game and also as a dessert, with mature cheeses.
Vinification
The Plozza 100 is a declaration of love for Valtellina and its Nebbiolo, which thrives on the steep, beautiful vineyard terraces on the Rhaetian valley side in a rugged, mountainous area. The Nebbiolo grapes for the Plozza 100 dry on wooden grates in historic Fruttaio at regulated humidity and are vinified from the end of January. This wine was designed to be enjoyed with full fruit. Therefore, the ageing takes place in small barrels of one hundred and ten liters, which has deliberately accelerated the maturation process and already brings great recognition to its youth.
