About the wine
This powerful Pinot Noir 2016 — Felsberger Blauburgunder AOC Hoharai is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The landscape of the Bündner Herrschaft can be described with words such as mountainous or hilly. However, the Swiss winery Weinbau von Tscharner is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded! Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Pinot Noir with salmon or cheese.
Tasting note
From a rare location in Felsberg with vines around 30 years old. Aged for 25 months in 25% new barriques. Spicy nose image with aromas of raspberry seeds, wild berries and sour cherries, underlined with fine smoky tones and notes of dried herbs. Also on the palate with red berry accents, fine spiciness and well-supportive freshness.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Felsberger Blauburgunder AOC Hoharai goes perfectly with salmon, red meat and duck.
