About the wine
With this present Tempranillo 2014 — Figuero 12 Crianza DO, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Picturesque and enchanting landscapes of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon) give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Garcia Figuero conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Tempranillo with lasagna or pizza.
Tasting note
The 12-month barrel aging is clearly recognizable in the aromas of black chocolate, coconut and cedar. It is not the fresh fruit aromas, but the scent of dried plums, oranges and dried cherries that make your mouth water. The bouquet also offers a variety of spicy notes of mint, cinnamon and pepper, complemented by tulip and hyacinth scents. A great juiciness and substantial tannins round off the wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes wonderfully with Moroccan specialities, grilled sea fish, spicy barbecues, sliced beef stroganoff, wild fowl and spicy hard cheese.
