About the wine
Enchanting and graceful landscapes of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon) give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Triton conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. This fresh Tempranillo 2018 — Flor de Rejon is a triumph to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this tempranillo with polenta or lasagna.
Tasting note
The Flor de Rejon is a small and fine special bottling just for the Swiss market! Dark red to almost black in the glass, it shows intense and rich aromas of black fruits on the nose with traces of tobacco and mixed spices. On the palate, very rich notes of plum, cassis and cedar wood. The finish is supported by finely structured tannins and a long finish that promises great storage potential. The little brother of Rejon is already very big in the 1st year!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team recommends this Flor de Rejon to accompany red meat, pizza and barbecue. Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at slightly chilled 15°-18°C.
Vinification
From among the best Tempranillo vineyards, Tridente selects those centenary vines for this special bottling, which are planted on sandy soils and produce around 2.5 tons per hectare. The grapes are carefully picked by hand into small boxes of 15 kg each, selected, fermented in small barrels and then aged for 18 months in French barriques.
