About the wine
Fertile and blooming landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Zanolari Söhne conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this outstanding Nebbiolo 2013 — Flussige Sonne Rosso di Valtellina DOC! Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Nebbiolo is ideal to be served with prosciutto or burrata.
Tasting note
On the nose, spicy notes play a small duet with a dark berry fruit, gently interwoven and always revealing new scents on the longer smell; on the palate very soft for a nebbiolo, slightly flowing, the classic tannins are still noticeable but contribute to the harmony instead of dominating, medium bodied, juicy and rounded off.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lamb, game and strong alpine cheese. Salametti, jerky, bresaola. Also very good when slightly chilled.
Vinification
12 days of mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks and maturation for 12/18 months in 6000 liter wooden barrels. Very little of it is also in barriques.
