Tasting note
This Porto Ruby Reserve is one of Sandeman's reference wines. It was dedicated to the founder of the company. The Founder's consists of the best assemblages from each grape harvest over the past 5 years. The result was a strong, very fruity and fiery wine with berry aromas. A classic young port wine.
Culinary recommendation
Excellent to enjoy without food accompaniment, served in a large glass. Sandeman Porto Founder's Reserve is also perfect with cheese or chocolate desserts.
Vinification
After the grapes are harvested by hand, they are carefully processed into wine. Wine fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy. This gives the Sandeman orto its very own character and its incomparable sweetness. Sandeman Porto is stored in oak barrels in the traditional way.
