About the wine
The Cordero di Montezemolo family vineyards are located in La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. The winery is based in the town of La Morra, which, together with the municipality of Barolo itself, is the most famous of the eleven municipalities in the Barolo growing region. At the top of the Monfalletto hill, a lebanon cedar rises mighty, imposing and venerable. The tree is part of the history and tradition of these lands. It was planted by the ancestors in memory of their wedding in 1856. Giovanni Cordero di Montezemolo only runs the winery in the second generation of the family, whose roots go back to April 3, 1340. His father Paolo had inherited it in the early 1940s as the closest legitimate heir to the Faletti family. Giovanni also has his enthusiasm for wine from him, so that he does not miss the personal care of his vineyards and vines. Giovanni prefers to deal with Barolo, who must be original and unadulterated!
