About the wine
If the quality of the vintage allows, 2000 to 3000 bottles of Pago la Jara are produced. Grapes from the five most exceptional plots form the basis, they are not completely destemmed. After fermentation with juicy yeasts in a 3000 liter open wooden stand, the wine matures for around one and a half years in 225 and 1500 liter barrels. The label consists of an engraved “g”, which reinforces the uniqueness of the Pago la Jara. It was designed by graphic artist Fernando Gutiérrez especially for the compañía.

Tasting note
Almost black color. On the nose, deep aromas of black berries, cedarwood, tobacco. Dense on the palate, concentrated and yet a finesse wine with lots of fruitiness. A full-bodied, long finish. A great wine from the Toro!
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C.
