About the wine
Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this fresh white wine 2020 — Gewürztraminer Tradition Alto Adige DOC Terlan! Fertile and picturesque landscapes in South Tyrol give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Terlan conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Gewürztraminer with crab dishes or lobster.
Tasting note
Rich, bright straw yellow in the glass. Animating on the nose of lychee and mango, but also slightly scented with honeysuckle and cloves. The scent is completed by the characteristic note of rose petals for this variety. The palate shows the unmistakable aroma, where the Gewürztraminer makes a strong impression thanks to the fresh fruit and lively acidity paired with minerality.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spicy dishes, sweet and sour dishes, pasta, vegetables, pork, Asian dishes, poultry, veal, crustaceans and potato dishes.
Vinification
Harvesting and grape selection by hand, gentle pressing and clarification of the must through natural sedimentation of the trub substances. Slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Ageing for six to seven months on fine yeast, partly in stainless steel tanks (50%), partly in large wooden barrels (50%).
