About the wine
We have a special, dominant Pinot Gris from 2015 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Nature in Lower Austria can be described with words such as mountainous or hilly. However, the Austrian Weingut Machherndl is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded! Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This pinot gris is excellent to serve with sushi or ceviche.
Tasting note
In the glass, due to the slight turbidity, you can already tell that this is a wine that is not found everywhere. On the nose, the harbingers of mild herbs, citrus. On the palate, lemon balm and blood orange are clearly perceived, elegantly caressed by nuts. Nice soft finish. Open this wine a few moments earlier before drinking, so its subtle character becomes fuller.
