The winemaker from Austrian Weingut Sommer masteres this white wine with sensitivity and intuition in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. For Valentine's Day, we recommend the dominant white wine 2020 — Grüner Veltliner Salz und Rauch. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Grüner Veltliner with freshwater fish or an aperitif.

Tasting note
The Grüner Veltliner Salz und Rauch's refreshing bouquet of lime, toast and honey shows complex aroma characteristics and lots of finesse. The dominant notes of citrus fruits, toast and honey shape their individual texture. Powerful body and dominant acidity result in the dry white wine, which shows a lot of character and class in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with all cold starters with freshwater fish and fresh vegetables. Ideal combination with fresh peas; also goes well with light, warm freshwater fish dishes.” With sushi or with honeydew melon desserts. Or just for yourself, great!
