About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Austrian Weingut Familie Umathum masters this red wine in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with pizza with mushrooms or Gruyère burger.

Tasting note
Josef Umathum's red wine shows a dark red in the glass, and a pleasantly fruity note in the bouquet, which is reminiscent of ripe wild berries. The smoky, delicately spicy aromas go perfectly with game and lamb. A typical Austrian cuvée (Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt) with subtle nuances of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Goes great with pizza with mushrooms, red meat and ribeye steak. The following period is the ideal phase of enjoyment of this wine: 6-8 years.
Vinification
Kontaktzeit mit den Schalen bis zu drei Wochen, anschliessend biologischer Säureabbau im Fass, in kleinen Barriques (2/3 gebraucht, 1/3 neu) über 20 Monate gereift.
