Heida AOC Zermatt Unplugged 2022 - Cave du Tunnel

About the wine

Jacques Germanier, oenologist and maker, and he simply does it right. It is not for nothing that Swiss viticulture has helped shape history. He founded Cave du Tunnel in 1968, planted international grape varieties for the first time - today there are over 20 different ones - and immediately carved a deep tunnel in the mountain, where the sparkling wine is made just like in Champagne - Chardonnay! - can mature for several years at constant temperatures and optimal humidity. Today, Brut du Valais Blanc de blancs is one of Switzerland's outstanding sparkling wines and wins the highest prices! Cave du Tunnel is also excellent in terms of breadth and base, such as the Valais classic Heïda.

Tasting note
Guitar solo - not a sweet melody, it has a tempo and the bright, almost shrill notes are also played there: bright citrus fruit, green, grassy notes, also runs across the strings: bright, vibrating minerality vibrates, that rocks, and with a few harmonic chords: soft ripe, mild orange fruit notes in the background, that's also where the emotions come in, that's where you feel. Driving energy on the palate, that goes forward, crisp riff: delicate acidity, gripping restless bright minerality, but now more melodious: ripe, yellow-orange fruit lingers on. Applause for this performance. Unplugged. Tap out and he plays for the palate.
