About the wine

Since it was founded by Frédéric Varone in 1900, the Sion-based company Varone has been actively working on the qualitative development of the Valais winegrowing and wine industry. For four generations, the Varone family has also been adding value to the exceptional heritage of the Upper Rhone Valley. This heritage includes the ancient varieties Petite Arvine, Amigne, Humagne blanche, Marsanne blanche, Humagne rouge and Cornalin, which wonderfully represent the many facets of Sion's terroir on the terraces of the Clavoz, Comba Bernard, Clos de Châteauneuf and Uvrier wine estates.
