About the wine
Chateau Musar is Lebanon's most famous winery. It does not have its own vineyards but is supplied with grapes from contractually bound wineries in the Bekaa Valley. Cultivation and vine care, however, are managed by the winery. The winery's cellar technology meets the latest standards and is vinified in classic Bordeaux style. The wines are neither filtered nor embellished. The result is powerful wines that revive Lebanon's old wine tradition.
Tasting note
Bright ruby red with red fruits, plums and cherries on the nose and palate. Balanced and elegant, it combines lively fruit with soft tannins, good acidity and lasts for several years.

Vinification
The grapes are fermented in cement tanks and then aged for six to nine months in French oak barrels (from the Nevers forest) before the wine is bottled unfiltered. After several years of aging in the bottle, the wines are sold four years after harvesting.
