About the wine
Chateau Musar is Lebanon's most famous wine cellar. It does not have its own vineyards but is supplied with grapes from contractually bound wineries from the Bekaa Valley. However, cultivation and vine care are subject to the management of the winery. The company's cellar technology meets the latest standards and is vinified in classic Bordeaux style. The wines are neither filtered nor embellished. The result is powerful wines that revive Lebanon's old wine tradition.
Tasting note
This Lebanese red wine smells of red berries and cherries, dates and dried figs, freshly ground spices and some tobacco. On the palate, Hochar is well-dosed with good concentration and soft tannins. The spicy aftertaste is persistent and multi-faceted. With enough air, there is a lot more!
Culinary recommendation
Zu Ribeye Steak, Pizza mit Pilzen und Gruyère Burger empfehlen Ihnen die Flaschenpöstler diesen Hochar Père Et Fils Red.
Vinification
The grapes are fermented in cement containers and then mature in French oak barrels (from the Nevers Forest) for six months before the wine is bottled unfiltered. After two years of aging in the bottle, the wines are put on sale.
