About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery David & Laurent Siozard greets us with this wine, which he grows in the countryside in Bordeaux. With this provocative Merlot 2017 — Ipsum AOC Bordeaux, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Merlot can be served with poultry or slightly spicy, red meat.
Tasting note
Ruby red. Strong aromas of red and black berries. Ipsum, the personal, idiosyncratic, comes across as quite traditional. Hand-picked grapes, cold fermented for 10 days and then gently aged in tanks without adding sulfur. On the palate, after a short aeration, the wine is crisp, full of red fruit and soft tannins.
