About the wine
Bodegas Irache is located two kilometers after Estrella on the Camino de Santiago. Anyone who has already made a pilgrimage by there is sure to have refreshed themselves at the winery's wine fountain. The area and the adjacent monastery of Irache have been known since the Middle Ages for “good bread and excellent wine” - as it says in the Book of Jacob. The wines of the modern family business confirm that this is still true in modern times.
Tasting note
The fruity aromas of the Irache Chardonnay 1891 Navarra DO of passion fruit, peach and almond express a great deal of complexity with a very unique structure. The playful nuances of lemon, lime and apple then show their own character. Its pristine amber color gives you summer warmth and refreshment regardless of the season. Your friends will tell you. A slim body and dominant acidity result in the fruity white wine, which shows a lot of character and class in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
As an aperitif, with salads, fish dishes or soft cheeses made from cow's milk such as Brie or Camembert.
