About the wine
The nature of Valais can be described with such words as hilly or mountainous. However, the Swiss winery Domaine du Mont d'Or is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded! The present Sylvaner 2013 — Johannisberg du Valais AOC is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Sylvaner with light, vegetarian dishes or fish dishes.
Tasting note
Vivid yellow with golden reflections. Intense, with concentrated exotic aromas of pineapple and lychee. Slightly sweet, with increasing freshness, distinct notes of exotic fruits, full-bodied, with a typical almond tone on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lobster, asparagus, curry and truffle dishes, scallops, alpine cheese and vacherin.
Vinification
This Johannisberg du Valais AOC was expanded in steel tanks.
