About the wine
In 1996, the old winery was woken from deep sleep by three illustrious gentlemen: Francisco Marti, the owner, Álvaro Palacios, an internationally acclaimed oenologist, and Quim Vila, an important Spanish wine merchant. Within a few years, they have made Ca N'Estruc one of the most renowned addresses for serious, joyful and affordable wines that entertain even the discerning wine drinker in the best possible way and make critics score high.
Tasting note
Distinctive, mysterious nobility. The dark charm immediately captivates. Discreet sweetness, leather and licorice. Soft, dark and deep on the palate. A mysterious, dark, lonely but warm creature. A wine for late hours.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: L'Equilibrista DO Ca N'Estruc goes well with barbecue, game and roasted vegetables.
Vinification
Single-variety fermentation in small, temperature-controlled steel tanks, after the grapes have ripened and the age of the vines. The final blend matures for 12 months in new French barriques.
