About the wine
Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this provocative Merlot 2016 — La Jouvence Rouge Vin de Pays Suisse. The fertile and enchanting landscapes of Vaud give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Swiss winery Charles Rolaz / Hammel SA conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or duck.
Tasting note
Kräftiger Körper und markante Säure ergeben den fruchtigen Rotwein, welcher ausgewogen mit feinen Tanninen im Mund sehr viel Charakter und Klasse zeigt.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pot roast, chateaubriand, lamb, mallard, venison medallion, mushroom risotto and mild cheese.
Vinification
For many years, our wineries have been managed according to environmentally friendly principles. Monitoring the degree of ripeness to determine the harvest time, limit yield, harvest and selection by hand so that the berries remain intact. Vinification and fermentation over approx. 3 weeks. Aging on fine lees in oak barrels for 9 — 12 months.
