About the wine
With the delicious La Lus Monferrato DOC, which was produced in 2015, you will certainly have a lot of fun. The winemaker from the Italian winery Castello Banfi absolutely masters his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and fertile Piedmont countryside.
Tasting note
Dense, clear ruby, intense and deep. Straight, clean, ripe fruit on the nose. Lots of red berries, cherries, plum jam. A subtle wooden insert completes the fine nose. Strong and full on the palate. Harmonious, almost silky tannin structure. Lots of red fruit again. Medium-long, harmonious finish with good persistence.
Culinary recommendation
A treat with barbecues or hearty pasta dishes.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
