About the wine
With this dominant Pinot Noir 2013 — La Perle Noire Assemblage Rouge du Valais AOC, the term taste takes on a new meaning. To get a feel for the mountainous and hilly beauty of Valais, there is no way around this red wine, which the Swiss winery Domaine du Mont d'Or masters with a fine sense of texture. Flaschenpöstler tip: Pair this Pinot Noir with duck or cheese.
Tasting note
Bright ruby red, playing down to purple. Complex, subtle wild berry aroma accompanied by a slightly smoky note. Strong, full-bodied and round, with fine tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Valais plates, red meat, fondue bacchus and fondue bourguignonne and alpine cheese.
