About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Château de Chambrun grows this wine in the countryside. There is always something left over from Christmas dinner. Do you know that? Tasting note
Château de Chambrun is a classic, beguiling Libournais. Here on the plateau of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation with its sandy, gravelly surface and clayey subsoils and just a stone's throw from the Pomerol icons Pétrus (900 meters as the crow flies) and Château Lafleur, the Merlot grape variety shows its great potential. Merlot also determines the assemblage, supplemented with a little Cabernet Franc and, depending on the vintage, with a little Cabernet Sauvignon. No wonder Château de Chambrun shows complexity, tension and depth. Also recommended for storage!
