Lugana, named after the wine-growing region of the same name in the area south of Lake Garda, which is partly in the Lombardy region and partly in the Veneto region. The main grape variety required for this inviting white wine (at least 90%) is Trebbiano, also known as Turbiana here. On the nose, aromas of yellow fruits, delicately exotic of pineapple and melon, plus citrus and grapefruit notes, underlaid with fine herbal spice. On the palate, rich and elegant, with a finely creamy texture.
