About the wine
The Tenuta di Trinoro of the cult winzer Andrea Franchetti, which is located in a godforsaken part of Tuscany south of the Brunello area, has quickly become a myth. Wine lovers from all over the world go into raptures when they hear this name. In the Val d'Orcia near the border with Umbria and Lazio, the somewhat cranky scion from the Cinzano empire and nephew of the famous American painter Cy Twombly conceives and develops some very unusual red wines.

Tasting note
Sensitive, noble young man. Everything is fine here, with a warm appearance, the dark berries, subtle, precise, the red fruits, including cherries, with a gentle sweetness, the feminine elegance in harmony with masculine tones, the fine perfume with flowers, slightly tart plants and a dark, sensitive minerality, a very fine person with a lot of depth in mind and heart. Gentle, elegant movements on the palate, without harshness, soft the red fruit, including strawberries, the fine tart tannins and the dark sides, licorice, adorn this beautiful, slender and supple body, and yet it remains modest, in this perfect balance with plenty of human warmth. A very big and moving personality who doesn't focus on himself and yet can't help but be admired. You don't want to be without him!
Vinification
Very selective and late harvesting, fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in steel tanks, aging and aging for 8 months in new and used French oak barrels and 11 months in cement tanks.
