About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Alovini has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and refinement are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing landscape of Basilicata. This outstanding red wine 2015 — Le Ralle Aglianico del Vulture DOC Alovini is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! Tasting note
Deep, beautiful ruby red color. On the nose, a bouquet of violets, cassis and spicy nuances of roasted aromas. On the palate, the wonderful fruit is supported by pleasant, juicy tannins.

Vinification
The harvest takes place early in the morning in mid-to-late October and is done by hand. The grapes are transported to the vinification cellar as quickly as possible in small, 12kg boxes. The 10-day mash fermentation takes place in small tanks. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature between 23 and 26 °C. Some of the aging takes place in used French barriques and lasts around 9 months, the other part is aged in steel tanks.
