About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Famille Perrin grows this wine in the Côtes du Rhône countryside. Christmas 2021 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this powerful Shiraz 2018 — Les Christins Vacqueyras AOC! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Shiraz with game or roasted vegetables.
Tasting note
Intense and generous nose with aromas of black fruits and spices as well as mineral notes. On the palate, there is a wonderful balance and complexity with dense and silky tannins as well as blackberry, currant and licorice notes. This wine has a long and mineral finish and shows off with great elegance the harmony of the old Grenache vines. Grown on a very loamy terroir with stones from the Ouvéze River, Grenache dominates here and reveals a fleshy wine. Its typical aromas of chocolate, cherries and figs correspond to a wonderful Syrah.
Culinary recommendation
The ideal addition to this wine is a venison leg with gentian, fried potatoes with onions and garlic.
