About the wine

Lo Petit de la Casa is a red wine from D.O. Priorat and was developed by Trossos del Priorat. This wine gets its grapes from organically grown vines certified by the Consell Català de la Producció Agrària Ecològica (CCPAE). The grapes grow on slate soils and are destemmed in the bodega and macerated in the cold to extract as many aromas as possible. Fermentation then takes place at a low temperature within 19 days. The Lo Petit de la Casa matures for about a year in three-year-old French oak barrels. At the end, this wine rests in the bottle for another 10 months. The aim of Trossos del Priorat is to produce wines from this area with the peculiarities of the typical wines from Priorat.
