Tasting note
This assemblage pays homage to Giuseppe Miolo, the Italian immigrant who received the piece of land with the number 43 at that time. It is a single vineyard that has been vinified and expanded separately by oenologist Adriano Miolo since 1999. This cuvée is already impressive in the bouquet. Even the experienced wine connoisseur could tap Bordeaux in a blind tasting. The aroma is typical of the variety and classic at the same time. The fine ageing aromas (liquorice, tobacco, coffee) blend with the fruit notes (blackcurrant, plum, wild berries), which in combination with smoky, animal scents (musk) leave a complex impression on the nose. The body is supple, velvety and rich, and the fruity structure gives this cuvée a refreshing, sustainable way. The finish is persistent, consistent and leaves little to be desired. A Brazilian wine of this quality — who would have thought that?
