About the wine
The Quinta das Marias is located in the heart of the Dão, the oldest DOC area in Portugal. The winery was founded in 1991 by Elisabeth and Peter Eckert. The two Swiss wine pioneers initially bought 4 hectares of land. Today, the charming Quinta covers 12 hectares in a prime location. The winery only grows autochthonous plants. Thanks to the excellent climatic conditions and the exceptional terroir, wines of first-class quality are produced. A showcase company from the Dão wine-growing region within a very short time.

Tasting note
Ruby red color with purple reflections. On the nose, aromas of dark wild berries such as blueberries and currants. Well-balanced on the palate with an elegant acidity. Long-lasting on the finish with a beautiful tannin structure.

Es passt zu kräftigen Fleischgerichten, wie Wild oder Grilladen und zu reifem Käse. Ein idealer Begleiter für jeden Tag.
