Schiava gives Merlot the right whistle in this cuvée. The aromas of black cherries, plums, cinnamon, cloves and softwoods are typical Merlot. Schiava contributes a bright mint note and a fresh, lively acidity. The successful cuvée is tasty and slightly lively, with subtle wood finishes and moderate tannins — ideal with simpler but also hearty dishes, or simply with roasted chestnuts in autumn. Wine classified as IGT does not have to indicate the vintage on the label; however, this is a pure 2019 wine.
