The landscape of the Bündner Herrschaft can be described with words such as mountainous or hilly. However, the Swiss winery Weinbau von Salis is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded! Tasting note
On the nose, fine notes of dark fruits such as blackberries, plums and cherries, accompanied by fine subtle woody notes. On the palate, a soft start, followed by plenty of ripe fruit and fine spice, ends with finely ground tannins, elegance and great length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with meat dishes, cold platters, Bündner specialities, red wine risotto.
