About the wine

In 1884, 23-year-old Spanish immigrant Miguel Escorihuela Gascòn invested all his savings in a few hectares of vineyards. The risk paid off: Over the years, Miguel's wines gained international fame.

Tasting note
Color: Intense dark red. Aroma: Broad spectrum of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries, cherries and plums. Light hints of vanilla, coffee and chocolate. Character: Well balanced, elegant finish with a hint of Mediterranean spices.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat and game, grilled meats, pasta with tomato sauce and cheese.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 12 months aging in French and American barriques. 2 years aging in the bottle.
